Laser Hair Removal at the Bay: Our Story

Owner and operator of ‘Laser Hair Removal at the Bay’, Veronica Denwick is a registered nurse. Veronica also holds her Laser Safety Qualifications and is a Member of the American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery. With 30 years of nursing experience and 19 years experience with a Class 4 Medical Laser, Veronica prides herself with a professional approach towards her business. Prior to the establishment of ‘Laser Hair Removal at the Bay’ in October 2007, Veronica secured 6 years experience in the laser medical industry. During this time she witnessed a lack of liability and responsibility towards the training and safety of laser operators and was immediately determined to make a change in the laser hair removal industry.

For this reason, Veronica complies with a range of industry standards that go above and beyond basic operating requirements and is proud to say her clinic has been arranged in accordance with the strictest of safety policies. Veronica has always been passionate about providing the safest possible approach to her business and has travelled far and wide, interstate and overseas, along with her staff in order to remain up-to-date with the latest in the laser hair removal industry.

Veronica strictly only employs nurses as opposed to beauty therapists to conduct laser hair removal at ‘Laser Hair Removal at the Bay’. She urges the importance in selecting a clinic that employs qualified nurses with laser safety qualifications. These experts will not only be trained on the equipment, but are aware of the risks and factors associated with laser hair removal and are able to determine whether a person is suitable or un-suitable for the treatment. All of the nurses at Laser Hair Removal at the Bay hold laser safety certificates and have undergone extensive laser training at ‘Laser Hair Removal at the Bay’ and externally to ensure the safest possible treatments for our clients. Our staff are medically trained as opposed to aesthetically trained. Veronica’s commitment to strictly employ nurses to perform the laser hair removal treatments proved an instant success and is continuing to attract clients simply for this reason.

All treatments at ‘Laser Hair Removal at the Bay’ are performed with a Class 4 Medical Laser, the LightSheer Diode Laser. The LightSheet Diode Laser is a state-of-the-art system specifically designed to remove unwanted hair faster, with less discomfort and more reliability than many other methods. Class 4 Medical Lasers are clinically proven to provide the best treatment for permanent hair reduction and are the world’s most advanced treatment for the effective removal of unwanted hair. They are also clinically proven to provide 30% more effectiveness in comparison to IPL (intense pulsed light) treatment which is often falsely advertised as a laser treatment.

Veronica strongly believes that a consultation service is imperative prior to laser hair removal treatment not only for the operator but also for the client. A professional laser hair removal clinic will meet with you before full commencement of treatment. They do so in order to evaluate anything that may influence your suitability for laser hair removal such as your medical history, any medications you may be taking and of course, your skin and hair type. They will also discuss your goals and be honest with you regarding the number of treatments and outcomes that are achievable. This initial consultation process is designed to ensure the safest possible approach to commencing laser hair removal by ensuring clients are well informed and have realistic expectations. ‘Laser Hair Removal at the Bay’ staff feel nothing is more important than the satisfaction and safety of our clients and the education of our team.

Your safety is our priority.
