1. How many treatments are usually necessary?
The number and frequency of treatments required varies for each individual. Factors such as the location and colour of the unwanted hair, the skin colour of the treated area, hormonal influences and even some medications can all have an effect on your LHR treatment and would be discussed during your initial consultation.2. Is Laser Hair Removal safe?
Laser hair removal is a very safe procedure when attended to by adequately trained medical staff. Laser hair removal at the Bay only employs nurses. We do not believe beauty therapists should work with Class 4 medical lasers. They are ‘medical lasers’ and you can cause serious damage to clients if you do not know what you are doing. We have seen many unfortunate problems occur over the years with poorly trained staff at many of these franchise and chain hair removal clinics. The cheapest is not always a safe option!
3. Is Laser Hair Removal permanent?
We urge all of our clients that if you are ever guaranteed PERMANENT hair removal to get that in writing! It is simply not possible to guarantee permanent hair removal. Permanent hair reduction however, is possible. Unfortunately, dormant hair follicles may become active later in life and respond to hormonal influences, medications and other possible causes.4. Can all types of hair be treated?
All hair types can be treated with the LightSheer TM Diode Laser however, no lasers are effective on blonde, red and grey hair. The laser targets the pigment (colour) located in the hair follicle which is why clients with darker hair generally achieve the best results from LHR.5. How much does Laser Hair Removal At The Bay or On Unley cost?
Here at LHR At The Bay and On Unley, our fees are charged in 5 minute increments as opposed to the area they are having treated. The amount of time taken on your treated areas will vary between each individual according to the density of unwanted hair and also the size of the area you are having treated. We believe this is a fairer system because as unwanted hair reduction occurs; subsequent treatment times will reduce and in turn, cost you less. There is currently no charge for initial consultations. For further information or to have some more questions answered, book yourself a complimentary consultation with one of our friendly nurses today.
